tomorrow is the day when one of our dreams comes true, that is, moving back to the midwest. i guess because it came a bit unexpectedly, the transition has not been without sadness. and also, we fall in love with people, complicating a seamless goodbye.
i sit here feeling happy that many lovely people have insisted on coming over to bid farewell. i am also sad at how others have avoided us, saying it is too painful. well yes, it is, but still i would like to shed a tear with you and give you a warm hug and wish your family well. but that is ok, i don't want to cause pain for anyone. i really do understand.
it looks like we will live in a hotel for about two weeks, then close on our new house, then the movers will bring our stuff. not too bad of a plan.
we are ready. i am feeling the north winds start to blow. carry us home, north wind, carry us home.

a special lady [wink] once reminded me that it is always harder on those left behind.
some goodbyes come late and in different ways : )
I am overjoyed for you!
Thank you, Danica. You are right, and you made me laugh out loud with tears in my eyes. Looking forward to some D-time!!
Happy for you! When do we get to hear about the new house?
Hi Selina! We may close on it next week. More details after I have gone inside. Lol. I will say it looks cute and clean from the outside. :)
