and so we wait. we are waiting on the inspection/title company/mortgage stuff, then we can get a closing date on our cute hoosier home.
while we wait, i cull stuff out of the closets. what to take, what to donate, what to burn. i look at my 'girly corner' as i call it, and know i must pack it myself, and not put it in the hands of movers.
it is clear two of my collections have grown over the last few years. one would be non-fiction books, a lot of those vintage. the other is fabulous beaded joyful vintage necklaces. yes, i like all those adjectives in a row without commas. haha.
arkansas has been great for both of these collections. i have found wonderful books for next to nothing. the necklaces, well, my mom has given me a lot. i think the arkansas heat prevents gals from wearing them, plus, let's face it, gaudy necklaces are not for everyone. lol.
gaud. pronounced gawd, noun. a piece of worthless finery; a trinket.
here's my treasure box, which will have a safe place in the van when we take off on our next adventure.
