-- people here are very nice. Very very nice.
--there is lots of laughter. Laughter at walmart, laughter on the radio, laughter from the weatherman.
--our little one has been invited to several birthday parties, not because she has close friends, but because here, everyone in the class is invited. Nice.
--strangers ask me how I am. They make eye contact. They expect an answer. It is how I was raised, and feels new and something I am adjusting to, happily.
--The snow: if it is 10 degrees or above, annabelle's class goes out for recess. Each child takes snow boots and snow pants and they enjoy the snow.
--we are still looking at real estate. Our hotel suite is warm and cozy. I love awakening in the middle of the night and listening to five other people breathing. It is then that I feel my most happy, and like the richest person on earth. The breathing of five people I love, in the warmth, in the dark, while snow plows work outside.....it is something special. Happy January!!
