Transitions

I can't help but be aware of the fascinating steps of transitioning mentally to a new place.

At first, the kids were in shock. No feelings. Then, they seemed sad/angry, depending on the day. This lasted a couple of weeks. The one in the most denial was our daughter. This is really the only home she remembers.

We started researching schools. The most frequent questions were: What languages do they offer? How is their football program? Funny. That's what they wanted to know.

Today, our daughter said, "Why can't we just move now?".

We have transitioned mentally. The house will be listed this week, and we are praying for a buyer.

I love change, to a certain degree, and find this all exhilarating, aside from the grief it has caused the children.

How are YOU?

On behalf of the family/friends in Indiana, we are delighted to have all the Gross Family within driving distance! Your hubby left for his new job around 5:30 am this morning and appeared to be very excited about the change.

Much love, mother!

I know you must be so excited, the kids will settle in just fine. One thing I know you will love is the seasons....Praying your house sells soon. Clay seemed great yesterday. I love new beginnings too...

Oh my sweet friend!!! Please let me know if I can help with ANYTHING while you guys are here. So happy that Clay is excited about his work. ALL of that is a blessing in itself, I KNOW!! You are ready and so are your wonderful children. My time with you is fleeting, but I am so excited for you to be closer to home. Many prayers for a swift sale!!
