It has been a big week here in Arkansas.
We had parent-teacher conferences, which is actually on of my favorite nights of the whole year. It is not that I have Valedictorians on my hands, but I mull over some of the comments the teachers made, and I feel very happy.
Annabelle is basking in the love of her teacher. We will attend the Student-of-the-Month breakfast with her Tuesday. I have tears as I think about the difference between this year and last. It is a beautiful thing!
Elliot is preparing for a trip abroad next summer with People-To-People. This is an exchange of students between countries, founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower. He believed that the only way to true world peace was if individuals got to know one another. How lovely is that? Elliot will travel to England, Ireland, and Wales. He is beyond excited. :)
But what takes MOST of my thoughts these days is preparing for our move. Northern Indiana, you will be our new home. When? Not sure, maybe Christmas break. Why? Great opportunity for Clay. How do we feel? We have cried with many people who are shocked, but I think we are over the hump and happy to be moving close to what we consider "home".
There is much joy to anticipate, and much to do in the mean time. Please say some prayers for me, that I remain patient and kind with all that is on my plate. It is all good in the long run!!
