Mother's Day Poem

--photo from 2009

This is a poem I received from one of my sons on Mother's Day. He wrote it at school, with some prompts from the teacher. It is very special to me. I hope you enjoy it.

"Where I'm From"

I am from a big comfy couch
from Dial shampoo and Panther mowers.
I am from chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes
I am from red roses
and ferns,
All the beautiful flowers.

I am from Thanksgiving and a 22-250(gun),
from Kate and Clay.

I'm from the farms and woods,
From big green pastures,
and big green tractors.

I'm from Christ.
I'm from old Irish people,
From cherry pie and BBQ ribs.
From the guy who used to pull plows across fields,
and the best cook ever.
All over the walls are the pictures
of all my family's memories.

Happy Mothers Day
