Blackberry Cobbler

Thoughts on a Monday morning

**I know that I mention Arkansas sunshine a LOT. It is remarkable. The weather has been perfect, resulting in many plants in bloom:roses, irises, hostas, and now coreopsis. Lovely! However, I did watch 21 rotations on the radar last night in KS, AR, and MO. So sad that one touched down in Joplin!

**Max finished his soccer season yesterday. His team was full of nice boys, which meant I got to hang out with nice parents. I am proud and humbled to say that he was the high scorer for his team this season. It is a testimony to his God-given talent and his work ethic. He tries SO HARD. I love that about him.

**Solomon has been outside nearly every free moment. I came home from a long day at soccer yesterday, and he and Annabelle had picked 4 cups of blackberries. I used mom's pie crust recipe. That was a delicious cobbler, if I do say so myself. Thank you, children!

**Both Max and Sol start football practice today.

**Elliot has a leg injury from falling off a four-wheeler Friday night. We are going to the doctor again today. I am thinking he will finish the school year in a wheelchair, as he can put absolutely NO weight on his leg. Major bummer!

**Annabelle has grown out her bangs, and overnight she began looking like a little teenager. She is really into clothes and shoes. I think she lives for Friday nights when there is a possiblity we will go to the mall. There's a little Chinese place in the food court that she enjoys. She gets a special smile from the grumpy Chinese man.

I hope you and yours are staying healthy and happy. Hope to hear from you soon! xoxo
