Tidbits

It's fall and the weather if fabulous, with highs in the 80s. No frost yet.

I have been subbing nearly every day, and I think a full-time sub position is coming my way. More about that when/if it materializes.

Max could not play football this year due to his mama saying he couldn't. VERY reluctantly, he agreed to be the Water Boy. He knocks himself out getting water, setting up the tee and ball for kick-off, etc. He jokes that he gets more of a work out than some of the players. I saw his coach today. He said Max is amazing and that if he could, he'd hire Max to be his assistant. I told Max how proud I am of his work ethic. I think it would be tough to go from playing wide receiver to a water boy. Oh, the lessons learned, painful at times, but he still rocks my heart!!

I subbed in Solomon's computer class today. The teacher seemed so happy to meet me, as she loves Sol. Awww, that warmed my heart.

Elliot has been reading many books this year. He is enjoying his first year of football, but says that soccer is still his fav.

Annabelle is thriving in her new classroom. Her teacher is a former basketball star in our town. She understands Annabelle. THAT, my friends, is an answered prayer.

My neighbor sat in the owner's suite on Sunday in Dallas with Jerry Jones (they were teammates in college). He said I could have gone along, but he did not tell me about it til Tuesday. Hmmm...

Life is great. The days roll along smoothly. I thank God for peaceful times.
