Our Yard

I thought I would show you our yard. Our house sits on the side of a "mountain" on about 15 acres. It is currently very dry. There are rows of rocks that previous owners stacked as retaining walls. We were told that all the rocks came off this property. I believe it! This is the rockiest soil I have ever seen.

--Out our back door sits an old mantle I bought in Indiana.

--My mom gave this fern stand to me. It belonged to Grandma Naomi. Oh, how I love it!

--A grouping of crystals in a bird bath. These came from a hiking excursion we did within Arkansas. One place in the world has similar crystals, and that is the country of Brazil. WHO KNEW?? :)

--This is Tiger, formerly knows as Tigress, a gift from our friend Julie, who is known to rescue litters of kittens dumped on her country road. He is a great cat!

--Two layers of the rock walls. Starting to feel like home.
