Shalom in the Home

"Lost romance can always be rediscovered because the secret to renewing love lies not in what we feel but in what we do. Actions control and create emotions, rather than the reverse. And if we begin treating people lovingly, we will ultimately begin to feel love for them."

I found the book SHALOM IN THE HOME by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach on clearance at a local bookstore. He apparently has a show on TLC that I have never seen. He is a family therapist with 8 kids. He holds credibility with me, simply because of his children! lol.

It is a good book. I am loving it. He gives lots of examples of families falling apart, the motivations and needs of men and women and children. Soooo good. Sprinkled throughout are teachings from the Jewish faith, which I enjoy. I highly recommend it!

I did see that show once or twice and was very impressed with him. I don't know if the show still airs. I'll have to look for the book, I need a good one!
