Elliot and Soccer

Elliot has played in 5 soccer tournaments where it is 3 players against 3 players, thus, it is called 3v3 soccer. As I have written before, it is VERY fast-paced and the kids have to make split decisions. I think it is very challenging for me to observe, as a mother, and I can't imagine being the player.

The team he is on has been together for about a year, and had not won any tournaments. Since he has joined, they have won 2 tournaments out of 5.

I am not saying they have WON because of Elliot. He is not the quickest, he does not score the most, he does make mistakes. However, he is sweet and encouraging. I do think he brings some positive vibes to the team. We can all use positive vibes. lol.

So I have a picture of him getting a nice plaque yesterday. It is fun to see them work hard, then win, then be declared the CHAMPIONS. It was extra-special because Clay stayed home with the other children, so I got to spend quality time with the sweet boy.

He was telling me how he has narrowed down his college choices. These are golden words from a 9-year-old to his mama.

I am so blessed. Congratulations, Knuckleheads, on another victory. No, don't ask me how I like their team name. Let's not ruin a happy moment. :)

omgoodness! I hate it sooooooooo much. The coach yells, "Let's go Knuckleheads" and I look at my sweet child who is so innocent. Ugghhhhh. Even the ref laughed OUT LOUD when he heard it. Puh-leeeze! There are so many things I have to tolerate that I just might lose it one day. LOL.
