Like many of you, I enjoy names. Names of people, the meanings of their names, why they were named that, who they were named after, etc.
So imagine my constant entertainment. Each week I get to check books out to 840 kids, and with each transaction, the child's name pops up on the computer! First, middle, AND last. I will leave out their last names for the purpose of privacy.
My favorite? Well, Annabelle Kathryn Funan, of course. But my favorite-who-is-not-related-to-me is Irish Rain. Then there is the darling little boy, who happens to be Hispanic. (I tell you this so you can try to envision his sweet face.) His name is Bryan Freddy. I also love the brothers Gustavo and Antonio. I know their parents from basketball. They are a wonderful family.
There is a tall, blonde Max who is sweet. I like the Maxes. There are no Solomons or Elliots. There are lots of Annas and Madisons. Many of the children have vintage-sounding names for middle names. I often ask, and yes, they were named after beloved grandparents. "But I don't get to see him because he is living in Heaven", was one response. Madison Virginia comes to mind.
There are a few Jericas. Not sure about the origination of that name.
I haven't come across any names that seem totally bizarre or embarrassing. Now, if I can just train the kindergarteners to know which one is their LAST name, I will be in business. They come up to my desk, hand me their books, and must say their last names to get their books checked out. Oh my, this is very confusing to them.
The days go so quickly and we have a lot of fun. Hope things on your end are going well, as Fall draws nigh. Much love!

It must be that all boys named Max are sweet because mine sure is and so is yours!
I agree Selina! Still love that name and our boys. :)
