My friend sobbed last night because her only son lost his last baby tooth. I thought that was sweet but have never cried over a lost tooth.
As school is drawing nigh, I asked all the kids to go through their bookshelves and make a pile to discard. What I saw in Annabelle's pile caused some tears, although I am not telling her because she wants me to be happy.
All the Little Critter books were there. Just Me and My Little Brother, Just Grandpa and Me, Just Me and My Mom, Go To Bed. All have been favorites of Max and Annabelle.
Little Critter made us laugh. Little Critter helped us adjust to new babies, spending time away from Mama, shopping, playing with friends, going to bed when we weren't ready, etc.
OK, I won't lie. I didn't just cry, I sobbed. Little Critter has been here for a decade, and I will miss him.
