Removed from my Duties.

I guess it is a sign of success. The little girl I have been working with has transitioned successfully, and now does not need an aide. Monday I will resume subbing in the classrooms. Mostly, I will miss the little classroom I went to each day. The teacher and two aides have become my dear friends. I will miss the little girl. I will also miss Mrs. Betty, who was the bus driver who took us on our rounds. Mrs. Betty has had a rough time the last few years...had cancer and lost her husband to a sudden heart attack. We have grown very close as we drive the miles to pick up the little girl.

But life is good, and NOW I get to read at least an hour a day when subbing. Who could ask for anything more?

Hope 2011 brings you surprises and lots of chances to show your flexibility with a smile. ;)

Wow Kate, congrats on that achievement. I am SURE she could not have made that transition without your help. You must be very proud. And glad you met some great people along the way - what a journey you both had!! AND YIPPEEE to an hour to read each day!! Sounds fabulous!!

Will you still get to see the little girl? Or is she in a different school? I bet she will miss you! Flexibility with a smile, now that I need to work on. ; )
