January Tidbits

--2011's Color of the Year is pink. I could not be more excited. LOVE PINK!

Our school system does not observe MLK Day.

All 4 of the kids are playing basketball. It is so much fun to see them play. Clay is coaching Elliot's team. I am proud of Clay for taking his time out of work to coach. After Annabelle's games, people come up and tell her how well she did. She really loves the game.

For fun, Solomon has been getting his 4-wheelers stuck in the mud by the pond. Clay is very patient and pulls them out with his truck. It is as if Clay understands why a boy would want to do this over and over.

Maxwell is feeling wonderful after a long bout with migraines in 2010. His two meds have made him feel like a new kid. I am hoping he can enjoy track season in a few weeks, as last year's was riddled with headaches.

Came home from grocery shopping yesterday, and two of our sons were deep into reading. The school reading program here is so good. The kids are HOOKED on books and I love it!

Had dinner the other night with some gal pals. One had moved to Pennsylvania a few months ago. She gleamed as she told stories of the characters she has encountered. Except for the gray skies, I think she's enjoying PA.

Love you all. Happy Mid-January already!

So glad Max is doing well. Perhaps Clay also enjoys using his big boy toy to pull his sons out on their toys?? :) But what a good guy to help them out (repeatedly)!! :)

I am happy Max's meds have made him feel better! It is amazing how much kids can learn by reading, and the conversations and interest it can spark! Happy Day! Much Love.
