There is a fact that you should know, an obscure Christmas fact that our modern day world seems to have lost knowledge of...
It is found in the poem, "The Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore. The fact is revealed in this statement, "He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot."
So when I found this photo I HAD to show you. This must be the REAL Santa.
--Isn't he handsome, and look at that FUR!!
Imagine my delight when I found this little fellow at my favorite local antique mall!!
--He has a cute little body that comes apart to hold candy, AND he has the most darling beard made of REAL FUR.
Writing this made me happy. Spread the word to all those who don't know. Santa wears real fur!

Cool old Santa! I mean what else would keep Santa warm? I don't think he'd look right in fleece. : )
As I looked around my house, I finally noticed that both of my Santas are wearing fur...They look so rugged and rustic....I love Santas....great find on your antique one.
