First Christmas Post

--The kids love spending time around the tree. This vintage rocking horse is from Ohio. The day I bought him was the day our friend in Crawfordsville called to say she had been referred the most darling 7-month old from China. Some things just stay so fresh in my mind!

--Here is the silver tree in our kitchen, with vintage ornaments. What I love about those ornaments are the graphics on them. Very cute! I did not like the sound of one crashing on the tile. I miss the carpet in moments like that.

--Have you seen or tried these marshmallows? My kids are crazy about the gingerbread-shaped and flavored ones. They are perfect in hot cocoa, and I am dying to make the snack mix recipe on the back label! The vanilla snowmen are cute, too, but not as tasty (in my opinion, since it is my blog, haha).

--I love my kitchen. It used to be out-dated and dark. Now it is light and warm and spacious. Love spending time there!

Merry Christmas to you as you prepare for the holiday season. :) One little girl I know is so excited she can't STAND it. Oh, she is full of joy and anticipation!

You do look fabulous (not that you don't always look fabulous - you are gorgeous!) and I'm so happy to see a pic of your smiling face. LOVE the trees - just told Greg I want my own tree next year as his tree is covered with ornaments his mother has bought him for years and now me - just not my taste and I'm really bitter towards the tree - kind of silly, eh? However, your vintage trees inspired me - perhaps I need to go and look for some neat, funky tree with some history!!
