I have been loving those websites where talented women create gorgeous jewelry from scraps of vintage jewelry. When I stumbled upon this buckle, I scooped it up, not knowing how I would use it. A bracelet came to mind, but the way it is made makes it hard to turn into a bracelet. When my mom sent the pearl necklace, it all came together for me.
I am hoping I can wear this to a holiday party, with perhaps, black velvet! I laugh thinking, "What if it falls apart into my glass of wine?". C'est la vie!! Such is life when one creates jewelry. :)
