--Solly by the fire
There was a large dead tree on the edge of our yard. It was such an eyesore and full of poison ivy. I wanted to burn it so badly, but knew it would be a huge fire. Maybe too huge. I needed for Clay to be home for the ignition.
Last night, Solly and I set it ablaze. Clay drove up and was none too happy. In fact, I think he was mad and it takes a lot to make him mad.
Now, I do come from a long line of pyromaniacs. We have never had one get out of control, at least not to my recollection. lol. The problem for Clay was that it would burn all night, and he needed sleep.
So Sol and I sat out there for a few hours. There were some dramatic moments when big limbs fell, or a big WHOOSH!! went up as the fire spread up the tree.
All in all, it was a fun evening of hanging with my boy. He loves being outside. Often it is too hot for us to enjoy hours outside. We had a great time... Kind of male-bonding with Mama.

Glad you and Sol had a great time with the fire. Sounds like fun to me! I love fire, too!
You don't seem like a fire girl at first glance. But now that I know you...mwahahahaha!
Ooh, you got in trouble...Don't you hate that feeling when "they" walk in the door, and you know you got some explaining to do...That is ok, Mark has all his wet hay burning out in our hayfield. We can't even go outside because you can't breath or see...it is so wonderful to have that on top of you 98% humidiy. Glad you and Sol had that time together, I know he will always remember that.
