The kids came in from exploring and said there were blackberries by the pond, and how many would it take to make a pie? I told them that perhaps one cup would be enough. In my mind, I imagined them getting 2 or 3 berries. I had not seen bushes on my walks. Well, as usual, the kids pulled through and found many. I have enough for two pies or a big cobbler. I think I'll bake a cobbler, but Elliot is sitting here begging for pies. So, PIES it will be. Tomorrow.
