Track

Max had his first track meet, involving several schools in the region.

My first thought upon arriving was, "Wow, there is racial diversity in Arkansas. Nice to see."

My second thought was, "Oh oh. Hope our white boys can run fast." I am just kidding. I did not think that second thought.

Max ran three events and did a great job. Here is a photo of him handing off his baton in the 4x100, where each of four boys runs a lap around the track. See those two runners behind him? When he started his lap, they were pretty far in front of him. This was the last event of the night, and he still had some energy. I am proud of his stamina and strength. Just like his daddy.

No batons were dropped by our team, and that was a big goal for the night! It had been many years since I had attended a track meet. It was exciting and a lot of fun!!
