I have been subbing at the Middle School this week. One day I had 5th, 6th, AND 7th graders. It was amazing to see the differences in them. Fifth graders were bright and shiny, wanting to please me. I read a chapter book to them, and they were quiet and attentive. Sixth grade was ok, nothing stands out in my mind. THEN, the HATEFUL seventh graders!! They were restless and angry, moody and silly, hateful and sending spears through me with their angry eyes. All I could think of was my poor son, a seventh grader. How does he navigate all this meanness? He spears me with is eyes too, but to have a group of them doing it was a bit intimidating!! I left feeling pretty good about my boy. He is normal and definitely has a pretty good attitude compared to some.
Wow, I am learning soooo much. :)
It is in the 80s this week. Amazing weather. Happy Spring to you, and thanks for stopping by my little blog world.

OOOoooooo, sounds like a tough crowd!! Way to hold your own, girl!
I wonder if it is all those crazy hormones ??? Thanks for the heads up... :)
Although we are not yet in the middle school, I have had teachers and parents tell me 6th and 8th grade is fine--but watch out for 7th graders. Who knew? I'm sure you handled them beautifully!
xo
7th graders are a breed of their own that is from sure. I taught 7th grade in OKC before getting married. What a learning experience that was! ; )
