My children are not big fans of baseball. Too much standing still, too boring, they say. I had at least 5 telephone calls in early spring from coaches wanting to recruit Sol. It's like that around here. I had to laugh about it after a while. This is such a different sports culture from what I have known in other states. None of the coaches offered me scholarship money, so I hung up on them. LOL
Sol finally decided he would play with some friends in a church league. It has been wonderful! He has a nice coach who seems to really care about him, polite teammates, and the parents are friendly and fun. One of the pictures is the teams praying together before the game.
It helps that our little motley crew is doing very well. They are having a mid-season pizza party this week, just because.
Isn't it nice when a season goes really well? Enjoy the pictures of our sweet boy and his friends. As you know, I am so proud of him. He's kinda nice to have around.
