Welcome Committee

Someone asked me yesterday what projects I had in the works.

Well, my project for next year is going to be very fun and interesting. First, I agreed to be on the Middle School PTO Board with a couple of friends, both of whom are fairly new here. (We have a tight bond because we are new. It is challenging to break in here.) Both Max and Sol will be at that Middle School. I'll definitely try to embarrass when I see them in the hallway.

Secondly, a part of PTO is that I am chairing the Welcome Committee. Because new people feel it is so challenging when they arrive, our committee will step in and help. We'll first call them, then follow up with an email AND give them a welcome packet.

So far, we have 100 families to contact. I think it will be fun to be one of their first contacts and you know, I love people. They are the most fascinating creatures on Earth!

So that is my project for the next year. Now, I'd love to hear about YOURS!

I know you will be great at this. You have the ability to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. My projects for the next year:

1) Exercise and eat better to take care of this body that I have.
2) Spend more quality time with my family.
3) Finish unfinished projects around the house and yard.
4) Learn Spanish.

I'm sure there are more, but that's it for now. It was good talking to you today :)
