This is Max pheasant hunting in SD, one of his favorite activities.
Max has been attending a wonderful confirmation class for the past few months. At age 12-and-a-half, he has absorbed a lot and has enjoyed it. His only complaint was that several of the boys goof off during class. Did I mention it is a class of 13 boys? Oh yes, that would be hard to manage, wouldn't it?
He is working on making his confirmation banner, and had to choose a life verse. Here is what he chose:
"...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". Isaiah 40:31
He loves eagles, he loves to run, and he hopes in the Lord. It is a perfect verse for him.
He was baptized as a baby in the church we attended at that time. I was not emotional as it did not mean too much to me, having come from a background where we did not baptize infants. He will be confirmed Sunday, which feels much more emotional to me as he is making his own choice to join the church.
I am so thankful for this child. I thank God for the privilege it is to be his mom.

How wonderful, love that scripture. God Bless Max!
Perfect verse for Max! Hey Max, 9 chicks hatched in my room this year. 7 are dark and 2 are yellow. We actually got to witness 2 of them hatching and I caught them on video! Can't wait to hear about your eggs!
