You may remember, a few weeks ago, my friend O'Ney sent a challenge for Lent: to get rid of 40 bags of clutter. It did not have to be big bags, could even be 40 items if I chose. A few trunkloads of stuff have been taken to Goodwill. The house is looking less cluttered, so I started looking in the garage. I had this in the "to go" pile, and then I felt sad. I can not get rid of this. It has too many miles on it, golden happy miles. I can see me pulling around a child in various places we have lived. I can see it on sidewalks, grassy lawns, even rolling uncontrollably down a hill in our front yard. It has been in a creek and several different sizes of swimming pools, if I remember correctly. I can see it holding boys, Elmo, Blankey Bear, scared kittens, jumpy puppies, and a sweet little black-haired girl who could barely hold herself in a sitting position.
No, this is not clutter. It is a "thing" that I don't need, but for now it will remain in my possession. I love you little red wagon!

awww...your words just tug at my heart! Some things are meant to be kept forever... it's just how it is. It's amazing how one object can come to symbolize such a big piece of our life story.
that's a keeper!
You my dear could be a writer.
