And last but not least, we visited the Alamo. I am sure at some point I knew the story of the Alamo, but I had no recollection. It is a very interesting place, quite somber. When we returned home, we rented "Alamo" starring John Wayne. One of my boys said, "But mom, I thought WE won at the Alamo". I wished we had watched the movie before visiting so he had a full understanding.
