From Friday morning onward, we were busy with other people. It started with a meeting of my mom's club, then some sporting events, with a few birthday parties sprinkled in between. I also got to have dinner with two friends who made me laugh so hard that my side hurt.
I enjoyed meeting the parents of one friend and having some adult conversation.
I see that my children are growing, playing independently, and I can finally go to an event and relax in conversation. How refreshing! To those of you with little babies still on the apron strings, your time will come. It is quite delightful. I am reminded of how much I really do enjoy people, their stories, their quirks.
