Pickle-cicles

Yesterday was a very good day. Annabelle had been begging to make pickle-cicles. That's right- here they freeze pickle juice in Dixie cups and sell them at the concession stands for 50 cents. Do you do that where you live? Well, it sure pleases my children. Here she is showing you how to do it. She checked them every few minutes to see if they had frozen yet. They should be ready when she gets home from preschool! So, I ask, have you heard of these before? Just curious. Perhaps they are popular and I have been in the dark. :) Happy Wednesday.

Yes, I am familiar! maybe it is a regional thing. Any thing to do with pickles and/or pickling is quite popular around these here parts ; ) How about deep fried pickles? Pickled pigs ears? Have you had those yet?

If you try it, the locals recommend the juice from dill pickles! The sweet gherkin juice had a hard time freezing.
