I went to a playdate Friday at a friend's house. Out of 26 members of this mom's group, about 10 were present with their children. Here is why it perfectly epitomizes life...
1. We welcomed a new member, Laura, who just moved to our community.
2. We said good-bye to a current member, Glenda, who is moving north. We will miss them so much.
3. We welcomed new-perfect-baby Kailee, daughter of Kam.
4. We celebrated Audra's delightful news of her pregnancy and her anticipated daughter who WILL be coming home from China.
5. Julie and her children were wonderful hosts.
6. We have members who moved here from as far north as Minnesota, as far south as Louisiana, with members from Japan and China, too.
7. The sun was shining.
8. We discussed many pertinent topics to our life in this river valley.
We are lucky to have one another through this journey. Thanks to you all for being a part of this group!

What an amazing group of women we have. I am getting a little emotional reading your post. I would not have come through the past 5 years in one piece without my homegirls!
I hate I missed it, but it sounds like one of those playdates you all will remember as the exact meaning of what a moms group is.
sounds wonderful!
