Some of my children are under the weather, so I am home while Clay is out Christmas shopping! I've been baking and cleaning and organizing....trying to prepare for Christmas. My mom reminded me of this great CD, so that is what is playing in my kitchen. Warning: it is not for everyone. This is twangy bluegrass with a strong fiddle and mandolin. Patty Loveless' voice is pure gold as she lilts these traditional mountain songs. The kids and I used to play this in Ohio as we headed to school on snowy mornings. Our big old house sat in some lovely foothills with amazing wildlife. In the summer there were bluegrass festivals all around. I'll always treasure our time there. This CD takes me back...now, back to the kitchen! Hope your festivities are bringing joy to your heart!
