Paul LaDane, Food Channel Chef

Some moments are just so great that I must share them with you.

So, I was having coffee yesterday with some friends: one from Mississippi, one from Iowa, one from New Mexico. We were talking about cooking, recipes, feeding a family, etc.

Here is part of our conversation:

Mississippi friend, "I really like Paul LaDane".

Me: "Who is that?".

Mississippi friend: "You know, that chef on the Food Channel?".

Me: "No, I've never heard of him. Is he some French Chef?".

Mississippi friend: "No, she's that white-haired lady with the two sons and she has cookbooks".

Me: "OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-- Paula Deeeeeeeeeen", rolling on the floor laughing. I really don't think she said it wrong, but my Yankee ears definitely heard it wrong! It's those little things that really crack me up. :)
