I have been looking for a morning Bible study to attend. A huge crowd gathers at a local church on Wednesday mornings at 11am, the parking lot overflows. I thought this must be the one for me, until they posted this on their sign,"Food Pantry Open, Wed. 11-1".
The little blonde girls at school don't play with Annabelle. She has no idea that MAYBE it is because she looks different. We are trying to build bridges, but in the meantime, it makes her feel sad. I feel sad because I used to be one of those little blonde girls.
Clay is taking Max and Sol back to South Dakota this weekend for the annual family pheasant hunt. They'll come back exhausted and full of funny stories. I am really glad they get to do this. Clay's dad is 75 and this is special to him. When I told Sol's football coach he would miss a game, the coach exclaimed, "Da-gummit". I have not heard Da-gummit in a while. I'm not even sure how to spell it. LOL
I had new countertops installed yesterday. They used cream-colored caulk on one half, and clear on the other half. It looks so bad. I can't wait to call them today. They drive about 3 hours to get here. They can visit me again soon.
I am finding life here to be very challenging. Something unbelievable or appalling happens weekly. I can't even describe it...like the barefoot, bearded man walking down our highway with his fighting cock (rooster) on a Sunday afternoon. Thank goodness I have many wonderful friends who feel the same way.
Have a great weekend!

Loved this post dear friend, it is so wonderful to know what goes through your mind. I love having a peek at your life which seems so far away in a place I know almost nothing about. Thanks for sharing--you're the best!!
Friends like you make my life wonderful, Susan. YOU are the best. :)
I am so sad to hear about the blond girls. Here in Indy there are so many kids adopted that blond girls are becoming the minority. My blond girl is best friends with Grace from China and they get a kick out of the height difference (Grace is 9 months older and 9 inches shorted than Julia). Hang in there, not all blonde girls are mean! :)
Hi Stephanie!! The city in which we live is diverse, but the schools they attend are not. I think I can find some extra-curricular stuff for her with girls who look like her. Funny about the height difference!! :) Great to hear from you. I miss you and Indianapolis.
