Ramblings on Sunday
1. It is strange to drive down the road and see "107" on the bank thermometer.
2. Some country songs resonate more with me since moving here. An example is: "....like Uncle Joe in Oklahoma needs the rain..". There are many others. I may have to list them. It is interesting to me how country songs really do tell the story of the everyday kind of guy. Oh yes, I love "Okie from Muskogee". We are only 10 miles from OK, and I love how that song tells about the values of Oklahomans. That song is full of great lines.
3. People think I have highlighted my hair. In fact, the sun has scorched it.
4. Children here practice football in the heat. My two older boys start practice this week. At least the weatherman is calling for a cooling down to 98 degrees. :)
5. School begins August 18th. The children have had a very busy summer and I look forward to a little quiet time. Clay and I feel so blessed to have these kids. They are healthy and funny and love life.
6. I enjoyed being back home very much. I have wonderful parents and am thankful for all of my family. My brothers and sister married wonderful, very tolerant people. I hope they stick around for a long time, LOL. My sister is beautiful. My nieces and nephews have grown into really cool people. I am very blessed.
7. Annabelle's room is now a sunny yellow. She loves it. It certainly fits her personality.
8. I am beginning to plan my 25th high school class reunion, which is next year. WHERE did the time go?
9. Life is a wonderful journey. Hope your day has happy moments.
