Refreshed Eyes

This is not the best photo, but I saw this side table in Country Living. She cut up one of those old paint-by-numbers paintings, glued it on the drawer fronts, and Ouila!  A neat side table.

It reminded me of this prominent red barn, of which I am fond. This sits down a long lane, in front of my parents' home. My maternal Grandma Naomi used to joke with my serious father, "Which do you think came first, Clark, the barn or the house?".  He would politely chuckle, probably knowing he would hear that joke many more times. It was cute. (photo taken by my talented sis)

So imagine my joy when I found these two beauties for 70 cents a piece at an estate sale! I was thrilled and the worker asked what I would do with them.  She looked appalled and said, "You know they are hand-painted, right?"  Yes.  "You know someone took a long time to paint this?"  Yes.    I looked at them with refreshed eyes and said, "I love them just as they are."

Those are Fabulous.....Hope the kids adjust going back to school. The boys are doing great. Neal adjusted far better than I ever imagined.

I said to Neal and Jesse do you guys want to be in the same class? In stereo they replied "NO" Thank God.

Hope Annabelle's finger heals. I didn't know you knew how to play soccer. You go MAMA...have a blast.

We were just talking about your boys tonight. When I told the kids the boys were separated, Anna said, "awwwwwwww", like she understood it was kinda sad. I am proud of them!! Well, I don't really play soccer. Thank God it is very simple and the real coach is experienced . I am more like a cheerleader. Lol. Miss you all!

Cut them up and glue a dresser if you want :) The guy at the thrift store has the same reaction to me when I tell him I just want the frame and he is deciding on a fair price :)

I found a new GREAT idea revamping old art, I will have to share with you if I can find the image!
