Good morning! Thought I would share some funny thoughts on our upcoming move.
I was asked to get quotes from moving companies, so I have contacted four, and met with the first rep yesterday.
Funny, he definitely did not SOUND like he was from Arkansas. Come to find out he is from North Dakota, and his cousin owns a bar in Clay's hometown. I have been to those bars. Those people love to drink. Oh, and did I tell you about the time the two Native American girls elbowed me in the gut on the way to the restroom? I have never been in a fist fight with a non-sibling. Guess it is too late now, but I did consider it. :) lol
Another thought: I have cleaned out closets so they are nearly bare. I never feel we have too much stuff until moving reps come. THEN, it feels like we have amassed a bunch of junk and why do we need it on this journey? But he was nice, and very respectful of my antiques. He can make special notes of what is important to the homeowner, which I appreciate. I like my vintage mirrors, and he promises to take good care of them. He represented his company well!
On an even happier note: I sold the boat yesterday. It was Clay's baby, but we will have no place for it for a while. It was fun and VERY annoying to wheel and deal with that man from Oklahoma. He pushed me so far that I was about ready to tell him to leave our property! But I got the price we wanted and he left with the boat, knocking over the real estate sign in the process. Have I told you I like Midwesterners? (and a few Arkansas-ans)
I can't wait to tell you about where we will be living in Indiana! For a teaser, I will tell you, it is a good thing I adore my husband.
Hope your Thursday is magnificent. I have a long list of errands to run. Step by step, making our way home.

Can't wait to hear the story! :) Glad you are rid of the boat - so much easier to move with LESS JUNK!! When we moved and finally unpacked the toys that had been in storage for a month before we moved I thought it would be like xmas day - funny thing was the kids didn't even care! They were too busy running up and down the steps in our house as they didn't remember ever having steps (our MN home had them). SO EXCITED for you!!
