Clay has been home for a week, and it has been glorious!
We have painted together, laughed together, and spent many moments marveling at our sweet kids. Each one is doing well in his/her own way. It is FUN to watch them mature before our very eyes! (we know they aren't perfect..lol...lest you think I am saying that.)
Tonight is Solomon's last football game as a Bulldog. Clay gave him a sweet daddy lecture about going out strong. He wrestled with Max and compared heights. It won't be long and Max will surpass Clay's 6.3 frame. We took Elliot and Annabelle trick-or-treating last night. FUN!
He has helped complete the honey-do list. We laugh about how good this house looks compared to when we moved in, and how now we actually love it. Oh, we could continue home improvements on it forever, but we are moving in December. It feels good to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
On the other end of this move, Clay is trying to find a house for us. We have picked a top notch school system, and it is hard to find a rental or small house to purchase. The search continues when he returns to Indiana. Wish him luck!
I will be contacting movers this week to get estimates. It is getting exciting!
It is fun to work out the details, like, do the new schools allow back packs or binders? My kids are hoping for back packs. Smoothing out the details to give them peace of mind is a fun part of my Mom Job.
Hope this Fall day finds it sunny and pleasant where you are. It is a lovely day in Arkansas! xoxoxo

Kate - so excited that you are excited!! And the house thing always works out - I'm sure Clay will come across the perfect place! I would love to hear details of the town you are moving to - size, how far from chiacago and your family, flat landscape or hilly, country or city. . . oh so many details I want to know!!
Julie- I will find some facts for you. Currently researching coffee shops. :)
Thanks for sharing. So fun to envision you and Clay together at this stage of life . . . I have fond memories of your beginning :)
