So, I was offered a job at the local elementary school where Annabelle attends.
Last year, after hearing they would have several positions open, I threw my hat in the ring. I told the principal.... put me where you need me. I am flexible.
This actually caused a little fear in me, as I thought they might put me in a classroom with severe behavioral issues, where I had subbed a lot. Not that I would have minded, but doing that day after day might have given me a headache. lol. I just kept in mind that I want to serve. Prayer was my companion. My main goal is to make a difference to as many children as I can. There are soooo many hurting.
I was delighted when the principal said, "No promises..but what position do you prefer?". Of course, I chose the library position. Books, children, quiet, learning, encouraging, my own little desk in the center of all that joy.
She gave it to me. There were a lot of applicants. I am not from here. I am not related to anyone here. This is a wonderful gift.
I met with the head librarian and the principal, and my main duty is to make the library a HAPPY place. HELLO? Can you say, Best Job Ever?! I am very excited for Aug. 15 to roll around, and have had fun doing some back-to-school shopping, FOR ME! :)
