Gift for Maxine

--My father-in-law is bringing his companion, Maxine, to visit in a couple of days. She is an avid sewer and seems to enjoy antiques. I wanted to show you the gift I found for her!

It is an oak sewing kit, about 2.5 feet tall, and totally looks homespun. The jars on the right are attached by their lids. The jars screw off and are full of vintage buttons. Clay says they look like baby food jars.

On the right, also, is a long fabric pincushion. In the pocket are vintage zippers.

On the top left, you will see spikes to hold spools of thread. In the left pocket are some old patterns.

It needs a good dusting and a big bow. I hope it speaks to her and her love of sewing. Merry Christmas One and All!
