Maxwell

-- Maxwell and his buddy Reid

My oldest son, Maxwell, has one basketball game left this season.

This was the first time he had to try out and make a team.

He has had a good, solid year. Most satisfying to me has been his shining work ethic.

He may not have been top scorer or top rebounder, but that boy always hustles. I am proud of him! He has been asked to play on a travel basketball team this spring. Not sure if he will be able to manage both soccer and basketball, so he may leave soccer behind for now. We shall see.

School track starts in a few weeks, too. All these sports are on my mind as I am hoping he can transition away from football due to injuries. Again, we shall see.

He is such a good kid. Independent. Responsible. Funny. I am thankful for him and all the joy he brings us.
ps He is now 5'6". I am 5'8". What a joyous day it will be for him when he surpasses me in height!

That is great he has such a good work ethic at such a young age...Seems rare these days...I feel sports really gives them a lot of the discipline they need for success....oh,and he can't wait to pass you in height, but that might just bring a tear to Mama's eyes........ :(

You know it, Amee! Ist doesn't take much to make me cry and think how fast it is going. And for you, too. To think that Myles in in sports just blows us away! Can't wait to see you again!
