Cherish Life

I suppose that if we live long enough, we see tragedy. In these horrible situations, I think we all try to find some good, don't we?

A new friend of mine passed away last night. He was 35-years-old and leaves behind a beautiful wife, one son, and three daughters. His oldest child is a fifth grader.

They were new to town, having moved here during football season. He told me they had lived all over the nation, but had planned on settling down here and raising their children. He had no apparent health problems, so of course, we are all stunned that he died after going to bed.

He was the epitomy of kindness and goodness. You could just tell. He always had a friendly smile and was funny. I felt I had known him a long time.

I will miss seeing Sam at church and at the ballgames. If I can reach deep and find some good...well, he made the world a better place, for sure. The loss of him makes me more appreciative of my life, my husband, and my children. It is just so sad.

If you feel like praying for his family, I would deeply appreciate it. I can't imagine what they are going through right now. Thanks!

Thanks for your support! It is hard to understand why these things happen. So much to be thankful for...including my dear friends.
