If I ever get frustrated from dealing with certain regional quirks, or from dealing with certain people....I remind myself.....I have had a wonderful journey before this place. I go there in my mind. It is warm. The water is the bluest turquoise, the most gorgeous water I have seen. The people: so pretty, slightly-Asian eyes with sun-kissed skin. We were married there. It's like a dream. I had every detail planned, but forgot flowers for the ceremony. He remembered! He rushed out to an open air market and brought back lovely fuschia orchids. It surprised me that this midwestern farm girl carried orchids on my wedding day. Quite elegant and romantic. He carried me over the threshold. It is a dream, but true, and a rich part of our history.
Here are pictures, so you can see my escape. Lovely, no? This is what I got for marrying a rambling man. And with that comes NO REGRETS!!
