Sweet Ballet for a Sweet Girl.

--Picture by Tom@HK on flickr.(not my daughter's class, obviously)

How can it be that another week has gone by? Summer is, sadly, on the wane.

Sweet girl is participating in a dance camp. Do you think she enjoys this....learning ballet, tap, and jazz with 5 little girly-girls, all dressed in pink tutus, she in her black leotard? SHE LOVES IT! I am surprised, too. Dance now ranks in her top three favorite sports (behind basketball and soccer). I offered to buy her a pink dance outfit, a black tutu, whatever. She is very happy with her black leotard. Funny how she wants to be an individual. I admire that in her. She is true to herself.

I am sure it helps that the teacher is a gorgeous college-bound girl, with a huge smile and red curls flowing down her back. She is a vision of loveliness. Annabelle is quite taken with her warmth and encouragement.

Not sure I can even express to this teacher how much I appreciate her. It is really cool to see Annabelle in her ballet stance with her hands just so. She doesn't know this makes her look like a darling GIRL, and I sure won't tell her. ;)

I hope you have a happy weekend, as summer continues to pass so quickly.
