Inspired by my sister's pictures of welcoming porches, I decided to photograph ours and tell you about our latest home project.
Our narrow front porch was imprisoned by an ugly railing. Last week Clay removed the railing and set the space FREE!
To make it a proper Southern porch, I added ferns. The fern stand on the right belonged to my Grandma Naomi. There is a wind chime hanging that I received as a gift when we left Indiana. The givers said, "When you hear it chime, we are thinking of you". I loved that sentiment and have thought of them many times during windy weather.
Hydrangea are planted all along the front of the house. I think I have planted 15! They are slow to mature, but I know from my time in Indiana, they will be lovely someday.
I do have some cold sweet tea on hand. Why don't you come on over?
