Today was so much fun. Dear hubby and I are still trying to combine our family traditions to make it "just right" for our children. He wanted to let the kids open a few items on Christmas Eve, and their bigger items this morning. This was a big compromise for me, as we always waited until Christmas morning to open all our stuff when I was growing up. It worked like a dream.

I understand about the traditions, my family always opened everything Christmas Eve, Santa came while we were at church. It was great, we stayed up really late and slept in on Christmas morning, then played with our gifts all day. It was a tradition carried over from my Mom's family. We do everything Christmas morning, but it makes me a bit sad we haven't carried that tradition over at all. Good compromise Kate!
